Indiana Department of Corrections Chooses exacqVision
The Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) manages 20 adult correctional facilities, five juvenile facilities, nine parole districts, and a central administrative office. The IDOC wanted to replace its existing surveillance system with a more reliable video security system that would be easy for employees to operate.
This case study shows how the installation of exacqVision Z-Series IP NVRs and Axis encoders at each of IDOC’s adult and juvenile facilities provided the solution they needed. Since exacqVision can integrate existing cameras, IDOC was able to use their installed equipment to realize substantial savings (each IDOC facility has an average of 150 cameras in place). Corrections officers were able to quickly and easily use the new system. Moreover, the efficiency and reliability of the system has slashed maintenance costs.
