‘Health on Wheels’ is an innovative solution that provides medical services to people who are unable to access healthcare services easily. Many underprivileged people are unable to receive proper medical care due to the lack of affordable healthcare facilities in their vicinity. This MH aims to bridge this gap by providing medical services to these individuals.

Johnson Controls has made a one-time contribution of $56,790 to fund the operation of the MH. The contribution covers the cost of the unit, medical equipment, staff salaries, and operational expenses.
The ‘Health on Wheels’ will be equipped with a doctor, a nurse, pathology staff and a helper, who are trained to recognize symptoms of health-related ailments, conduct a basic diagnosis of common diseases, prescribe medication and referrals to specialized clinics in case of further medical complications. It is also equipped with modern medical facilities, including diagnostic equipment, examination tables, and medicine storage. The initiative, Health on Wheels will travel to different locations to provide medical services to people who cannot afford to travel to a hospital or clinic.

The MH initiative is utilizing advanced technologies and healthcare practices to offer high-quality health services to marginalized communities. The services begin with a general consultation that includes a well-equipped bed, weighing machine, compressor ECG machine, and monitor. Additionally, the initiative provides dental care, eye care, and laboratory facilities. The laboratory section is particularly noteworthy, featuring 68 types of diagnostic testing equipment, including a Hematology Analyzer, Centrifuge, Laryngoscope, Urine Analyzer, BP, and Diabetic testing apparatus.

The dental care facilities are fully equipped with an automated dental chair and x-ray machine, while the eye care section includes an Auto refractometer, vision drum, and digital monitor. A registration counter ensures a systematic and structured process for patients. This Mobile Hospital initiative will be covering all locations in Bangalore, with scheduled visits to each area, providing free and impeccable treatment to those in need. Furthermore, the initiative will offer health education to people, promoting overall health and well-being.

The partnership between Johnson Controls and Aahwahan Foundation is an excellent example of how businesses and non-profit organizations can collaborate to make a positive impact on society.
